2013 Environment, Changing AudioCodes Gateways IP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I needs help please to come up  with a changing plan for few devices IP in Lync environment, we are about to change 1 DC ip, 1 FE server and 2 AudioCodes gateways since we changing Subnet.

    1. DC Change: require to over look all Gateways for DNS entry.

    2. --  2 PSTN AudioCodes gateways change:

    * After IP change will need to Go over all gateways and
change the routing entry for incoming and outgoing calls

    * Publish New topology

    * will I have to go true all Phone ip devices and change them manually?3. Front End Lync standard edition server -

Change the DNS A record and make sure it’s replicated.

Go over all gateways and change the routing entry for incoming and outgoing calls for new FE IP if exist

Restart Mediation service on FE Server

    Publishing topology

    Regards,

    Rafi.

  • Hi rdayan,

Lync Phone Edition requires the following DHCP options to allow the phones to “find their way home” to the pool and sign in:
    Option 42: NTP Server
Option 43: Certificate Service Provisioning URL
    Option 120: SIP Server
Based on my understanding, you do not change all phone IP devices manually.

In addition, about Setting Up DHCP Server Options Manually for Lync 2010/2013 Phones, you could refer to the following blog:

    Best Regard,
    Evan
