SPMT does not migrate a document library that contains metadata RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have not been able to migrate any list or library containing metadata so far.

    Background:

    • SharePoint Server 2013 to SharePoint Online Migration
    • A large list of sites
    • Most of the sites have already been migrated.

Every time we have attempted to migrate a document library that contains metadata columns we have gotten errors and library was not migrated:

I have migrated all missing metadata groups to the target site collection in SPO and we have updated the tool to the version: 3.0.108.8808. A feature that allows to migrate metadata was recently added to the tool but that does not seem to work for us.

Could you please share a solution for this issue, if there is any. We have been trying to find a solucion for this issue for weeks already. Thanks ladies and gentlemen.

  • Note that you will get the 403 type error also if the source directory is a OneDrive local copy.
