How to update the timesheet for others RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a requirement that we allow the admins to update the submitted historical timesheets (e.g. > 10 weeks) for others based on requests (by email).

I am not sure whether we could update the submitted timesheet for other people.

Assuming you are using Project Server 2010 or 2013, the simplest way to handle this would be for the admins to create Delegation sessions on behalf of the team members and then fill out their timesheets for them.  If necessary, the admin could submit the timesheets as well.  Hope this helps.

  • Hi Kevin, The admin will definitely need to reopen the timesheet period before making changes. Post that you can either use 'Adjust Timesheet' permission or create a New Delegation. Both ways can be used. Thanks Atul

  • How about if the timesheet period is closed? Do the admins need to reopen it before making the changes?

And if the admins have the "Adjust Timesheet" permissions, does the admin still need to create delegation first to make the changes of timesheet?
