  • To make sure we are on one page - to registred for Project Professional 2010 TRIAL, please go here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/evalcenter/ee404758.aspx, after selecting the right language and registration the system will display "Microsoft Project Professional 2010 Product Key" that you can COPY/PASTE into the product. You also need to make sure to download the product from the links displayed on the same page. Is that somethig you did, please?

  • Joe - did try your PID Key and it is indeed invalid for Project Professional 2010, sorry about that.

I'd be also very much interested if your key was obtained as a result from registration at this page http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/evalcenter/ee404758.aspx and it was issued for Project Professional 2010 NOT Office 2010.

    Thanks!

  • I have also been trying for days to get the trial version of Project Professional 2010 to work. I did go to the page mentioned by Jan and I also got the message regarding the key not being valid. I did try copy/paste as well as tryping it myself. Neither worked. I also tried re-downloading several different times and each time the download page would give me the same, non working, key.

  • Sorry about that. We have identified and resolved an issue on the registration server that was distributing invalid keys late last week.  The good news is that all new reistrations as of now are generating valid keys. We are working on a plan to address profiles with invalid keys, please stay tuned for more information!

    Thanks!

  • This is good to hear. So do I need to re-download the file? Or do I have to wait for the second part of the solution because I already have a profile and have already registered?

  • Hi --

I created a new account with my secondary e-mail address in an effort to get a valid product key and got this message:

Keys are temporarily unavailable. Please check back soon.

Any ETA on when they will be available again?

    Thanks

  • Just tried this Jan and I received a new key but activation was halted and the installation rolled back - with an error message along the lines of "previous version of a trial project 2010 has been installed ..."

This is true since I had tried to install my original trial but could not activate it on my desktop (Win7) presumably because I have installed the same trial on my laptop (XP) where I am experiencing file corruption issues.

I need to try it out on my desktop hence looking for an alternative key.

Any advice or help gratefully received

    Regards

    Martyn

  • Problem still exists.

I downloaded the product using the link supplied when it came to activating it invalid key message displayed. What the hell is going on?

Apple looks very good - should we all switch now or is there still hope for microsoft?
