How to obtain WSUS version 6.2.9200.21630? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a WSUS server running version 6.2.9200.21630, and I have another server running a 3rd party patch management application (SolarWinds Patch Manager) for deploying Adobe Flash and Oracle Java updates. The Patch Manager server requires the WSUS console to be installed and at the exact same version as that of the WSUS server or else it will not integrate correctly.  At some time in the past few weeks an update was applied to the WSUS server to bring its version up to build 21630, but the Patch Manger server is still running 6.2.9200.17646. What do I need to install on the Patch Manager server to bring it up to the same version as that running on the WSUS server?  Thanks.

  • Thanks for the info, but both KB3095113 and KB3159706 are installed on my SolarWinds Patch Manager server and the WSUS console is still at 9.2.9200.17646.  I'm still searching for a solution.

EDIT:  Although KB3159706 was installed on the Patch Manager server, it was NOT installed on the WSUS server.  Once it was installed and the manual steps run as documented in Microsoft's KB article, the integration between Patch Manager and WSUS was restored.  I may have been able to achieve the same results by uninstalling KB3159706 from the Patch Manager server.  I consider the issue closed.

  • Hi Nibbles632,

The latest KBs to upgrade WSUS server 2012 are KB3095113 and KB3159706. A quick method to check which update upgrade WSUS server's version to 6.2.9200.21630 is to search "installed update" on the WSUS server. Search KB3159706 first, since this KB is latest.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
