    why after disabling IPv6 on my LAN, Direct access works on some laptops and does not work on others ?

    Some questions to understand your issue better:

    1. Could you please help to confirm the OS version of both working and non-working laptops?

    2. Is there any error message when some laptop failed with direct Access?

    3. Kindly go through the checklist for configuration of Direct Access in an IPv4-only Environment:
