  • Can 2 remote computers access a host at the same time using remote desktop using XP?  Is it different in Windows 7?

  • This is not possible by legal means.

    Multiple RDP sessions are only allowed on Windows Server.

  • Yes, 2 remote computers can access a host (server) at the same time. At least a different user account must be used then.

    Not only that, but signing in to a computer running XP with Remote Desktop will kick off anybody already signed on, whether they are a remote user or at the console. If they are at the console, it acts as if they used "Switch User", which can be a real problem in low memory situations, although that isn't as much an issue today as it was with my old 512mb system.

  • If someone else is already having an RDP session, no other person can have the same connection again. The TCP/IP port is being user by one and cannot be user by other.. it gets blocked.

     

    what you can do is.

    1) Use mstsc and teamviewer

    2) You can change the tcp port number in teamviewer
