  • Question

  • We use MIIS for galsync.

We run Delta import and Delata sync daily and Full import and Delta sync weekly.

I wondered we should run Full import and Full sync weekly.

Full sychronization shoud be run periodically ?

  • A full synchronization is only required when a synchronization rule has been updated.

  • Running a regular full import full sync is a good idea. If a delta import or delta sync fails due to network or database outages, it means that certain objects will never again be reprocessed until another change occurs for them (which may be never in the case of some initial point of truth systems). Depending on the delta import method of the management agent, the full import mechanism ensures that all data is regularly refreshed.

Of course, this process can be expensive and affect a large number of connected objects for some management agents, so be sure to schedule it outside of periods of activity (for example, weekends).
