usb at startup RRS feed

  • Widows 7 at start up does not pick up the usb ports. If i restart the usb ports are then recognized. I am running windows 7 home edition on a 4 month old Toshiba satellite laptop.

  • That is a function that is performed by the BIOS before Windows starts.

    Check the BIOS for makig a usb port available as a boot option.

    Perhaps with the limited options available, check to see if you can change the boot order to cd\dvd, usb device, hdd.

    Otherwise, contact Toshiba support to assist in determining if it possible on this computer.
