How To Install Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.4.0) Using OpenVMS in Windows Server 2008 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

    Good day to you all.

    Can anybody help me?

I have Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.4.0). When I extracted the zip file, I cannot find any .exe setup file. Please see image -> . In the http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/index.html]Oracl-Website , it says  OpenVMS , so How can I install it in Windows Server 2008 R2?

    I have Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard x64.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Lessy

  • OpenVMS is a totally different operating system than Windows Server, I don't think that database distribution is going to work. Also, you posted to the Linux and FreeBSD virtual machines forum, which are also different operating systems. If you want to run it natively, look for a Windows Server version of the Oracle 11g database.
