SharePoint on premise sites not accessible from iPhones - "Safari can't find server"

    Question

  • Dears,

One of the users is trying to open our SharePoint 2013 site from his iPhone (safari browser) and is getting an error -

    "Safari can't find server"

I have asked him to make sure that he's connected to the company network while trying to access site. Other than that, do I as an farm ADMIN, have to do something to make this works (other than enabling site feature - "Mobile Browser View").

  • Actually the intranet was to be connected using an app which would put the phone on in intranet network.

  • Hi Lisa,

I have asked the user to test the site on chrome and get back to me.

Is there any limitation on the nature of internet connection - won't work on 3G sort...?

the user is on safari 10.1.1
