Computer configuration gpo with user filter

    Question

  • Hello,

I use "delprofile2.exe" to delete old users (registry + files) in my windows 7 workstations, it work great with administrator or system account.

    My issue :

When the security filter is set with computer object the shutdown script perform well even if i log with standard user account.

When the security filter is set with Users group object the shutdown script don't perform with standard user account.

The problem, i need to apply the gpo to specific computer that certain users (students) log in.

There is so much computer object and not organized in OU by student professor . But students are well organized in users group.

Is it possible to apply shutdown script with user  object security filter and keep the run as system ?

Think again. You are running a shutdown script. At execution time,
there's no user logged on anymore, so how would it make sense to tie it
    to a user group?

If the issue is to delete selected profiles only on selected computers,
you need to wrap a batch file around delprof.
