  • Thanks for the response. I have McAfee. I am not aware of any " Kaspersky Internet Security 2012" .The download page says if the security block question comes up I am to click ok at the yellow bar. But the question never comes up.

  • Hi Loyd,

I asked a friend for help. After trying a few things  to get the reader downloaded, he gave up. He sent me a copy of the Adobe Reader file, which I saved on my desk top and installed from there. It is working now. Thanks for all the help.

  • Are you running Kaspersky Internet Security 2012? That version of KIS is preventing install and update of Adobe Acrobat Pro so you have to "Pause protection".

    Just a thought.

  • Try and download the exe from here  http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/otherversions/

rather than using their web installer.

  • When was the last time you ran disk cleanup?

I would run that, and try to install again.

    CCleaner is also good.
