Where to download latest App-V RDS client ? RRS feed

    Hi all, I hate asking this question but I've spent over an hour searching the net and forums without joy. There are several similar threads already but generally folk want the Desktop Client, not TS.

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/virtualworld/archive/2010/07/07/app-v-versions.aspx and Jack Cobben and Joe's blog contain different references.

    We are currently running 4.6.0.20200 from May 2010.   WE have all the regular desktop clients courtesy of MDOP. But I cannot locate a Microsoft page clearly listing the versions and with a link to the latest. It wouldn't hurt to help the customer.   I suspect the current version is 4.6.1.20870 - not sure about this.

    I have MSDN and MS Premier subscriber access if that helps to reach it.

    Thanks for the rapid reply Aaron.  For the benefit of others who may be after the same product here's what I did.

    App-V FAQ: What are the current versions of App-V?

    in the RDS column of the table shows that App-V 4.6 SP1 / 4.6.1.30111 is the current version.

    I followed the link to

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=e633164f-9729-43a8-9149-de651944a7fe

    and downloaded the ISO and extracted.

    MS APP-V FOR RDS v4.6\INSTALLERS\CLIENT\X64\SETUP.EXE is 4.6.0.20200  That version is labelled

    "4.6 RTM All Languages" in the Excel table on your page and we already have it running. Not the right one.

    So I looked to the MSDN site (as your page also covers) and located

    <label class="description">Application Virtualization 4.6 for Remote Desktop Services Service Pack 1 (x86) - CD (Multiple Languages)</label>, Release Date: 5/23/2011|, a 361 MB download.   Extracted that to

    mu_application_virtualization_4.6_for_remote_desktop_services_sp1_x86_cd_644051\INSTALLERS\CLIENT\X64\Setup.EXE  that is 4.6.1.20870       32 bit is the same version.    

    To bring that up to the very latest patched version (4.6.1.30111) ... I downloaded the more easily found hotfixes.
