Application sharing failure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

got this issue with only one user, who is connecting externally, when joining Skype meetings he is not able to see screen sharing as it drops after few seconds, the user is using a personal laptop and the SFB client version is  UCCAPI/16.0.11231.20066 OC/16.0.11231.20130

application sharing P2P is fine, the issue is only on Skype meetings.

A\V call is OK as well.

what I have found so far in the UCCAPI log file while testing that the user's SFB client is not sending a 2nd Invite, and hence a BYE is then sent out stating that "52049; reason="Leaving app sharing because re-invite failed";" with ICEWarn=0x60

another testing showed the below error received on BYE ( no 2nd Invite sent as well)

"23; reason="Call failed to establish due to a media connectivity failure when one endpoint is internal and the other is remote";" and "ICEWarn=0x8000120"

    any idea what to check?

  • Hi,

Have you tried logging in this account with other normal users' PC to  test if it is available to share application during a Skype meeting?

If the issue fixes on other devices, then we could exclude the issue is caused by the account itself.

Make sure that you have installed the latest version of SFB client and your network meets all the requirements for the best experience with Skype for Business.

And also verify that the video drivers are up to date and are working correctly.

Then, please try to delete the users' sip folder (%Userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync\sip_XXXXX).

First sign out, and then delete the cache files in the above folder, after that sign in again to have a try.

If it still cannot work when trying with other devices, please try to re-enable this account on SFB control panel from Admin side to see if it will work.

    Kind regards,

    Calvin Liu
