Web publishing rule and rtmp problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have UAG SP1 setup and working with RDS and several other applications.

We have an issue with publishing one internal website that we are publishing.

We can access it fine but it has some embedded flash videos that connect via rtmp and these are failing.

I can see the problem as the web app allows you to see the web link it is trying to open

The UAG changes the link for all https and http port but not for the RTMP port.

So the UAG changes the URL from http://server.internal to which is correct but I can see an entry towards the end of the url that says rtmp:server.internal when it would need to be

a network scan on the client also show that it tries to connect to rtmp:server.internal and note

is it because its a web applicatiuon rule so it does not redirect rtmp?

    any ideas would be appreciated

  • I'm afraid UAG generic web apps only support web protocols, so this type of application cannot be published this way. What you could do is use the Browser-Embedded application template, which creates an SSL VPN tunnel from the client to the UAG, allowing non-web traffic to flow through it. All you have to do is configure the correct server names and ports.
