  • Hi fasttrack,

Could you please elaborate your purpose briefly, and which version of Windows Server you are using? If Reporting Services 2005 is installed on Windows Server 2003, I would suggest you read the article Web Service Identity - Windows Server 2003 (Reporting Services Configuration) at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180127(v=sql.90).aspx.

However, we cannot use Default Application Pool with Reporting Services on Windows Server 2008. Reporting Services runs as a legacy application on IIS 7.0 and requires that we use an application pool that has Managed Pipeline Mode set to Classic. For more information, please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb839480(v=sql.90).aspx

    Thanks,
