intel driver for windows 7 RRS feed

  • Have an intel motherboard and need the correct driver for the p915gag audio on board and that works with windows 7

    It seems Intel no longer provide support for this legacy board. Please try updating the sound card driver using Windows Update and see if it works:

     

    1. Click "Start", input "Device Manager" (without quotation marks) in the Search box, and then press "Enter".

    2. Double-click "Sound, video and game controllers" to expand it.

    3. Right-click the installed Sound Card and then click "Update driver software…".

     

    If the issue persists, you can try installing the driver for older Windows system in the Compatibility Mode to check the result.

     

    Besides, here is the audio troubleshooting wizard from Intel.

  • Looks like the board uses Realtek ALC860 audio.

    Maybe the AC97 drivers will work for you. (www.realtek.com)
