time zone

    Question

  • Hello Everybody,

    There are more then 200 computers in my company i have been working in, they already JOIN the same DOMAIN.

    The problem is they are not the same TIME ZONE and i create a GPO to in-force them to be the same DATE, TIME & TIME ZONE with the policy, DATE and TIME is perfectly working, but the TIME ZONE can't work. Please HELP???

    Which policy did you enforce?

    There is no such policy for time zone in GPO's. Users can change the timezone at client machine.

  • There is no gpo to change time zone, but you can create startup script:
    1. and use tzutil to change time zone
    2. and use reg add Or GPP to change HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation value

    As far as I know, the time zone setting for each computer is stored in the following registry location:
    \HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation\
    You could use group policy preference to set up the registry, please follow the article as below to have a try:
