MS Office and Project 365 - filtering issues RRS feed

  • Hi, 

    We are doing some testing of MS Office 365 with particular focus on Project 365

    I am unable to use the filter on it e.g. 'critical activities' or by resources

    Is the filter only available on my local file system and not on the server?

    Your guidance sought.

    Are you doing your testing in Project Web App that is part of Project Online or Project Server 2013?  If so, the only filtering capabilities for project information in a Project Details view is to build your own filter on the fly.  This means if you wanted to filter for Critical tasks, the Critical column must be visible in the view in which you want to apply the filter.  Furthermore, you cannot save filter criteria in Project Web App either.  Beyond this, in the Microsoft Project 2013 desktop application, you have the full filtering capabilities available to you.  Hope this helps.
