SP1 Upgrade Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to upgrade my installation to SP1 and after a very frustrating process downloading the required files (it failed on me at least 10 times but did eventually download all of the files) I am getting an error.  It says that it encountered fatal errors while performing file operations.  The end of the log states that it failed to fid valid source for required file 'ccmsetup.cab'.  What, exactly, does that mean?  The file exists in the C:\Download folder...

    Thanks

  • Can you try to use the standalone download tool from the HTA welcome screen to download the prereqs prior to running setup?

  • Which logfile are you talking about? Please post some lines or upload them to Skydrive. The error you mentioned does not help.

  • Sorry, it is the ConfigMgrSetup log.  I tried to paste the last few lines in my first post but for some reason, IE refused to let me paste.

  • OK, that worked first time so I will try to apply SP1 again this evening.

    Thanks

  • SP1 seems to have installed OK.  There were a couple of warnings at the end but it reported a successful installation.
