How to startup in a User space without keyboard or mouse inputs RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm new to SteadyState.  I have an XP Pro application where there will not normally be a keyboard, mouse or display.  Is there a way to begin execution from power on in a SteadyState defined user space without any user inputs to the system.

  • Have you tried my suggestion in the previous thread? Does it work for you?

    1. Download and install Tweak UI:

Tweak UI is an application provided by Microsoft. With this tool, one can customize the user interface of Windows XP easily. Please download Tweak UI from the following link:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe?

Then, double-click the downloaded .exe file to install Tweak UI.

    2. Use Tweak UI to configure related settings:
    ------------
    a. Run Tweak UI
    b. Expand "Logon", and click "Autologon".
    c. Check "Logon automatically at System Startup".
    d. Click "OK".
