How to transfer/convert email from Thunderbird to Outlook 2016 for FREE??? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Been searching 2 hours and every single time this question is asked, its answered by several dozen foreign-sounding people each 'recommending' their own stupid software which, for some reason, all cost $39.

Is there seriously not a free way to do this other than the "save as..." in Thunderbird, "File Open..." in Outlook method?  This lady has 50,000 emails!

  • Hi,

We don't provide an official converter tool to convert Thunderbird data to Outlook.

If you have an IMAP account or an email account that supports IMAP protocol, you may try configure the email in your Thunderbird. Since emails for IMAP account are kept on the server and you can use any email client to view them remotely, you may try to copy all emails and folders from the account you want to transfer to Outlook to the IMAP account. Wait until all emails and folders are synced to the mail server (verify this via log onto the webmail interface of your IMAP account), then, set up both the IMAP account and the account you want to transfer in Outlook, move all emails and folder you want to transfer from the IMAP account to the account you want to transfer.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,

There is free ways but you have 50,000 emails which will be time taking and risky. You can use the demo version of Stellar MBOX to PST Converter, to verify the working of software.
