Can DPM 2012 backup Hyper-V Server 2012? RRS feed

Answers

  • Yes DPM can protect Hyper-V on this. Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 is like Server Core. Push the agent to it or manually install the agent like you would on any other server.

  • But perhaps it can't protect Hyper-V Server 2008 R2?  I can't push the agent or even install it locally as .Net Framework v4 will not install on the server.

Will upgrading the hypervisor to 2012 help?
