I see no difference between this mailbox user and myself in the system.  So what could I be missing?

  • Hi Joe,

Are you using any kind of front end protection for the exchange setup? Then it is just a matter of time to syncup the Active directory with the front end system. Hope you can be able to see it as working after some tme. Otherwise how about doing a manual refresh of the front end system?

  • This failure may be caused by the following conditions:

    • The recipient e-mail address was entered incorrectly by the sender.
    • No recipient exists in the destination e-mail system.
    • The recipient mailbox has been moved and the Microsoft Office Outlook recipient cache on the sender's computer has not updated.
    • An invalid legacy domain name (DN) exists for the recipient mailbox Active Directory.

Creating a new test user is always helpful in NDR troubleshooting. Be sure to investigate the time periods when NDRs occur and to obtain any background information that is available about the issue. Be aware of any changing variables that affect the issue.
