Project professional 2010 is allowing to save in 2007 format only? RRS feed

  • Thie problem is occuring for one user only - earlier he was able to Save in all formats, but now only the 2007 option is available to him. That is, the option is set to 2007 and greyed out.

    We have cleared the Cache, it didn't help, are there any other solutions?

  • I've seen similar reductions in functionality if we've installed a 30 day trial of Project 2010, and the 30 days has expired.

    Perhaps try re-entering the product key in File > Help > Change Product Key

  • Have him check under File->Options->Save. The Save Projects option can specify the file format for saving.

    You might ask the user to run a Repair operation on his/her copy of Microsoft Project 2010.  From personal experience, when the software starts behaving strangely, I have found that running a Repair operation sometimes will restore the correct functionality of the tool.  To run the Repair operation, click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.  Click once to select Microsoft Project 2010 and then click the Change button.  In the Change dialog, select the Repair option and then click Continue.  Let the operating system repair Microsoft Project 2010 and then see if this resolves the problem.  Let us know if this helps.
