Windows 7 Error and PC Slowdown Precautions RRS feed

  • Question

  • I will be upgrading my computer to a 64 bit system. I would really hate to be in the same place with my new system as I am with the old one. Would anyone please kindly tell me how I can avoid system crashes, and slowdowns and freezing? Checks, or softwares which I should install or execute besides Anti virus? Anything to avoid drastic errors and operating system damages?

  • Hi,

It is recommended to perform a full compatibility check via Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor before installing Windows 7:

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor - Download - Microsoft Windows

Meanwhile, installing the appropriate drivers and applications which developed for Windows 7 is important as well.

Generally, enough memory would be good to improve the Windows 7 performance.
