Security warning pop up - weird behavior

    General discussion

  • Hi,

Have a security warning pop up (locally) when trying to connect remotely to my machine (with psexec).

When I disable "Always ask before opening this file" it indeed doesn't repeat.

Moreover,  I could copy past this "disabled copy of psexec" to another pc having same problem

and prevent (on the other machine) from the pop up being shown.

I'm asking how it works s.t copying an instance of the program (in this case psexec) instead of an existing copy (with the

pop up security checked)  makes the pop up go away?  Isn't this pop up related to the operation system and not to the

    specific file?

    Thanks for your help,

  • Hi,

Based on your description, your issue is more related to PsExec Tool. So, I suggest that you should post your requirement in Windows Sysinternals forum. I believe we will get a better assistance there.
