Hello everyone,
Can any one please suggests me why not to take sharepoint site backup from central admin. Though i always follow the stsadm way
but still wondering why cant we use the services which has been provided in central admin.

Personally the backup through Central Admin is ok for for adhoc backups but you would be better to run through Powershell or Stsadm for automated or scheduled ones. A reason to use the link in CA is that you may allocated the backup to an Admin but you don't want them to have access to the server or powershell etc.

Hi Pradip,
You can always take Back up from Central Admin, Powershell or Stsadm.
User can choose any one of the above options that is more convenient to you.
