Trust relationship between workstation and Pri domain failed RRS feed

    Hello all - I am running out of ideas.  We have a new machine with Vista and somebody went in and changed the computer name.  Now when this person tries to login we get the error 'The trusted relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed'.  We tried deleting and reinstalling the computer and account in active directory.  Nothing worked.  When we try to login and change the settings and the domain on the workstation it prompts us for the admin password well we can't get in we get the same error.

     

    Please does anybody have any ideas and if this is in the wrong forum can you tell me where to post this question.

    If you try to log on locally as the administrator do you get the same error? I wouldnt think so but you never know. I have seen stranger things. If you do not, try changing to a workgroup then restart and log on locally again and try joining the domain.

    I don't think it works.  I have tried many times on different machine.  The result is the same.
