Does Sysprep revert the custome registry entries? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have template which is ready with custome registry entries lke registered owner, registered org, disk time out value etc. We Sysprep the machine and get virtual disk, give it to other team who create virtual machine for DevOps requirements. On these new machines we see those registry values are back to default. Is it possible that Sysprep has removed the registry entries?

    Thanks,

    Kishor

  • Sysprep has never maintained custom registry settings.  The solution is to develop a script to set custom values and include this in the sysprepped version.  Then you can configure it so that this script is automatically executed on the first boot following the mini-setup process.
