Sign In hangs on HP 4120 IP Phone Login - Skype For Business Server 2015 RRS feed

  • I have installed skype for business server 2015 in an effort to update the client software on my hp 4120 ip phones with the main aim of moving back to Office 365 skype for business. As the client software is not up to date I cant do this. 

    Anyway I have installed and am able to login to skype for business 2015 on prem with no problems using standard AD login. I have also set up and tested the DHCP settings as documented and run the test scriplet and all is indicated is working ok. 


    I hard reset the phone and sign in using the on screen login using AD credentials. The phone screen then shows the following on prompts during login 

    1. connecting to server
    2. Locating the server to download certificate
    3. Connecting to Lync Server

    This is when it all goes wrong as nothing happens at all after this is just sits there
