how do i edit the create user form RRS feed

  • Question

  • I don't know if it is the organization of the documentation web site or my hang over, but I cannot figure out how to edit the 'create user' form?  What is the directory path to that html page? Or is there an XML doc to edit?

    Thank you!

  • Now you are entering complete new level of F(rustrat)I(on)M - RCDC. Read this:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee534913(WS.10).aspx and this http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee534918(v=ws.10).aspx, and develop a habit of making copy of XML files before editing it.

PS. Just in case you will not read enough or ignore my comment about the habit, read this: http://bobbradley1967.wordpress.com/2013/03/13/what-to-do-if-your-fim-user-rcdc-breaks/ (kudos goes to Bob).

  • Now comes another level of FIM understading ...go to the schema management and take a closer look to the validation tab on the binding and attribute definition of employee type attribute. This is one of a way of doing this.

PS. (...) Nice, I didn't know that was what FIM stood for ;) (...) - nope it is not an exact acronym,it only when you have to deal with RCDC and something will go wrong ;) and you have to find out what?

  • Nice, I didn't know that was what FIM stood for ;)

So as I glimpse into this seemingly harsh world, perhaps someone can just tell me how I populate the Employee Type drom list--->

    my:TypeName="UocDropDownList"

I just want to add a copule of sets to the list and remove the default sets listed: intern, FTE, Contractor... I didn't see those in the RCRD xml file.

  • Ok, cool. Got that part.

I added the values I needed to for bindings and attributes: ^(Team 1| Team 2|Team 3)?$

Going deeper, how do I bind those entries to Sets?
