  • Hi, those recommendations was posted back i August when the ConfigMgr team had not yet announced support for it, and we still haven't run through our internal testing either.

Windows ADK 10 v1607 is indeed ready for production now. See the updated blog post for more details:

  • whats the reason you have the ADK 1607 installed?

you can deploy W10 1607 perfectly fine from W10 ADK RTM/1511 on sccm 1606

also Mister Arwidmark suggests not yet to install this one in a production environment: http://deploymentresearch.com/Research/Post/539/Inside-Windows-ADK-10-v1607

  • New environment for a customer, I didnt want to install old ADK. I thought 1607 ADK was a production release of the product.

But still, I think the problem has to be solved. Any ideas on that?

  • I see, but I have learned not to jump to the latest releases of ADK directly. in most cases still even using the W10 RTM adk...

but no ideas on your problem as I have no experience with the 1607 ADK

  • i tried to uninstall ADK 1607 with everything i previously installed, but the Programs and features says it is already installed, and just remove the link.

i then reinstall the ADK1607, include everything, only 0 byte space needed, and less than 10s to finish the installation. but in programs and features, i'm still unable to see adk any more.

i bet someone wrote the wrong installation script for 1607, compared to 1511, so SIM can't read that registry of ADK1607.
