Emails Missing in OWA but are in Outlook 2010 RRS feed

  • One users emails are missing from OWA 2010 but they are in his Outlook 2010 Cache mode .  Never seen this one before????  thoughts??  thanks

  • Its the browser.   In his IE11 its up to date and his Chrome shows 2 weeks older emails.

  • Yup, lots of times.  Check the mailbox with Outlook online, and see if they show up there.  This happens when the cache hasn't updated.

  • Thanks Will. Its the OWA which is not up to date .... Outlook Online and cache mode is fine.

  • OWA pulls directly from the server, so if it's not up-to-date, Outlook Online shouldn't be either - unless it is actually viewing the cache.  Have you set Outlook for Online with a new profile, not the existing one?  Also, have you checked the server using Get-MailboxFolderStatistics to see how many items are in the folders in question? And if these all show that OWA is still not correct, have you tried clicking the refresh button in OWA (see image below)?

  • Has the person tried on another client machine? For both OWA and Outlook?

    Usually OWA is always up-to-date.
