Exchange 2007 OWA not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,, I have currently configured Exchange 2007 SSL certificate from Thawthe, now OWA is working on Exchange Server that was originally installed, however, it is not working on Remote Site Exchange Server

what i hade done: added external url to remote Exchange Servers

Configured IIS on Remote Exchange Servers also

I also went on to add MSExchangeExternalHost on ADSI edit

But still OWA is just not working, i even changed Ip Address on Default website from unassigned to same Exchange Server on remote site

    please advice

  • There is a lot to configure to get OWA SSL working properly over remote sites, so you can point me in the right direction with some error messages?

  • What is mean of not able to access from remote site. How you are accessing is it CAS-CAS proxy or just using https:\\exchangeserver\owa. If you are able to access OWA from local server then your OWA virtual directory is working fine.

I would suggest you to go thru below KB's and also provide us specific problem to help you further.

  • Hi

i'm accessing it as CAS-CAS proxy, yes i can access OWA from local server using either IP or Server name,, that's what i believe that OWA VD is working fine, but from outside just can't go through

event view does show anything specific, only the OWA console appear: "Use the following to open this mailbox with optimal performance - https://owa.xxxx./owa

  • Hi Richard

You won't believe, i don't get any related error, but my configs are remote site are

    1.  CAS remote - OWA Default site, under general, added URL: https://owa.xxxxx/owa on External URL option

    2. Authentication: Integrated Windows Auth

I went through all your websites, configs the same

the only error is the OWA popup screen again: "use the following link to open this mailbox with optimal performance" https://owa.xxxx/owa   add to favourites

  • Hi SpeeDyT

After lot exercises, i tend to believe with you that " there is a lot to configure OWA SSL over remote sites"

please advice me on how and where to check: last message i got on local server is "username and password you typed are incorrect" this happens for users on remote site for the two cas server

but the users on Internet facing CAS does not give any problem at all,i can browse in any server

most errors has been cleared but still is like going backwards again
