How to download MS forefront antivirus software RRS feed

  • Question

  • i have more than 50 PCs. I want to install MS forefront antivirus software on those computers but i dont want to manage MS forefront antivirus software from a central server right now.

1.) Is that possible that i can install MS forefront antivirus software un manage in my environment ?

2.) What is the link of MS forefront antivirus software for download (give a specific forefront client link ) ?

3.) Does MS forefront antivirus software and Microsoft Security Essentials uses the same database to remove the viruses and just the difference is that the Microsoft Security Essentials is for SOHO and MS forefront antivirus software is for enterprise environment ?

  • Hi,

Yes it's possible to install the FEP client as unmanaged client, but the FEP server needs Configuration manager 2007 SP2 R2 or R3.

MSE and FEP have the same engine except FEP which is an enterprise solution buils on ConfigMgr.

Anyway, all about FEP is here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff684073.aspx
