Project Server 2010 (How to view team members tasks)

Question
-
Hi folks,
I want to view the tasks assigned to all resources for a project in the project web app; under the MY WORK area.
Tasks can be viewed by opening the project in the project web app.
However i want to view the complete progress details attached to each task (eg the comments and assignment history which is visible to the idividual whom the task is assigned; but not the project manager).
In other words; i want to view all tasks assigned to all resources for the project instead of the tasks assigned to me under MY WORK -- MY TASKS.
Further, When i open the project web app; i see YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED 40 TASKS; when i click and go to my tasks: there's nothing.

Last question first. You're My Tasks is probably configured to only showcurrent tasks. To confirm....click on the Select Period icon, and widenit out for the scope of the project. My guess is that you're only seeingwhat's currently assigned to you.To see all assignments on a project, navigate to the Project Center. Clickon the project in question. In the Gantt Chart view, select one of the Assignmentsviews (Assignments Summary, Tracking, etc.)You can try adding the notes field there, but you may only get what the PMsees, not the total list of comments against the task. That's always beena tricky field to surface, and I am not familiar off the top of my head, how else someone could gain access to that field without a custom SSRS report.- Andrew Lavinsky

Hi,
it allows to choose maximum of 90 days period; i tried taking it from start till end, no vain.
assignment summary view will show the total assignments for a task; but i can not find the comments submitted by the members against the tasks each day which show in approval center/my tasks (by clicking the task).
Just like the tasks assignmed to a member; he/she can view these tasks under MY WORK --> MY TASKS. I am just looking for the same stuff with all tasks assigned to the members.

> Hi,> it allows to choose maximum of 90 days period; i tried taking it from> start till end, no vain.Yeah, but you can selectively pick various periods. At the end of the day,My Tasks is for you to update the tasks you're currently working on. Ifyou want to see every task assigned to you, my guess is that you would haveto go to the Resource Center, select yourself, and then View Assignments.(I say "guess" because it's different than in 2007, so I am still workingout all of the wrinkles with the new product).> assignment summary view will show the total assignments for a task;> but i can not find the comments submitted by the members against the> tasks each day which show in approval center/my tasks (by clicking the> task). The comments will be tough. Those are stored in a special place within thesystem. Without SSRS, I am not sure how you would surface those commentsinto a view.Thursday, August 12, 2010 3:40 PM

Hi,
I appreciate your help.
Yes, when i select a resource in the resource center and choose the RESOURCE ASSIGNMENTS in the ribbin; it shows the tasks assigned to that individual and there's an option to view the timesheet as well. That solved half of the problem.
Comments part is pending; as one would really like to view the comments attached to the task a person is working on through out the period of the task assignment.
Thank you!
