  • Hi,

There is no changes required as you are not planning to change the name. When you are managing the things with DNS server, the changes will be reflected in the whole infrastructure. Make sure that you have got error free connectivity to domain and other servers after changing the IP Address

  • Hi,Joseph,

Please ensure the Exchange server are not a domain controller or a global catalog. If there are domain controller or global catalog, usually it is not recommended to change the IP address.

The second thing to consider is OWA access, mail routing, user access etc.  If you change the IP Address of the Exchange server you have to remember to change all the DNS records including MX, Hosts, Alias Records.

After you changing the IP address, please make sure the DNS records are updated and restart the Exchange server.
