more help needed on team leads RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi again!

I've set up my RBS with team leads (functional supervisors) and team members and have made sure all of these supervisors are in the 'team lead' category so they have the correct permissions and still they report they cannot view their team assignments (some don't see anything in the resource centre)

What else should I be checking? Any ideas on directions to go to figure out the issue?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Hi,

if I understand you correctly, you want to achieve that all team leads can see the assignments in PWA Assignments Views of there subordinates. In this case you only need to assign all team leads to the group Resource Managers and make sure that they are in the RBS hierarchy above them.

You can find some guidance here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=168589

Another option would be to use Allocatus Server to push all assignments of the team members to their Outlook calendars and grant the team leads read access to it: http://www.allocatus.com/Home/en/Solution.aspx

    Hope this helps,

  • Thanks for the link, Renke! Looks like a good one...

I have created a team lead group for these functional supervisors and have given them permissions very close to that of a resource manager. I've also assigned them to the level above their respective team in the RBS and some are still telling me they are unable to see anything in the resource centre.

I've double & triple checked the permissions and everything looks right to me.

Is there anything else I should check?

  • The Resource Center view should belong to the My Direct Reports category, which by default, populates resource data for the resources one level below you in the RBS.

The manager would be RBS= Organization A and all reports would have RBS = Organization A Team, where the values are like this in the RBS lookup table.

    Organization A

    • Organization A Team

    Hope this helps.
