Expand taskbar to stop grouping of windows under one icon RRS feed

  • Question

  • I switch between windows all the time. In XP I could switch the taskbar to have a different button for each window - i.e. not group windows together for each application. In Windows 7 I to switch to windows within the same app, I have to hover or click on the application icon, then try and figure out which icon is the window I'm after, then click on it. Something that took 1/2 a second now takes seconds as I might have 4 or more windows open under a single application and have to figure out which is which. It's a big change to my workflow and backwards step IMHO. Is there a hidden option to ungroup as there was in XP?

    Thanks,
    Tim
