  • Theoretically it is code free.  Now you have only activities which you drag and drop on your workflow and only set its variables. But, there aren't many of these activities available. When you need activity that isn't available by default, you have option to write your own custom activity, or (even better) to write web service and call this web service from workflow.

    The best new thing in WF 2013 is that it is no longer hosted in SharePoint. It can be hosted on different server and has its own process, so more CPU and memory resources is available for each process.

  • Understand that there seems to be a HUGE disadvantage to SP 2013 workflows: NO VERSIONING, NO ROLLBACK. Please, someone, correct me if I am wrong or confirm that I am right. From what I've read on this forum, though, posted by a moderator, I am right. This is horrible.
