Dynamic connection mgr parameters between environments RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,
    Somewhat new to SSIS.  Read several posts on this topic, but still having connectivity issues after deploy to ISC(Rel environment) and subsequent job run.   Not sure I am architecting this solution properly though.

    Created a simple ssis pkg(reading from sql server table and writing to a flat file).   I'm using project level connection managers and project.params(created from connection manager).

    See attached images for details.

    Thoughts?

    Thx  Robert

  • Hi,

    Have you tried to execute the package in SSDT? Does that work?

    It looks like you input the wrong connection string in Catalog config:

    Integrated Security=SSPI; is for windows authentication.

    Try this:

    Data Source=ServerName;User ID=UserName;Initial Catalog=DatabaseName;Provider=SQLNCLI11.1;Persist Security Info=True;Auto Translate=False;

  • Yes,  that connection string syntax(and using Persist Security=True) works.

    Thank you very much.
