Unable to install KB3167679 on windows server 2008 x86 RRS feed

    Hi Team,

    I have been facing an issue while installing KB3167679  on server 2008 x86 box, error message was "this is not applicable for this Operating system". I verified the package and it was for 2008 x86 machine only. hence I tried to download the package again , unfortunately I am unable to download from Microsoft website. Please be aware that KB3167679 is for update the authentication method. refer the below link .

    Can someone please suggest me about how can I achieve successfully ?

    Hi Sajin Pittekkat,

    As we may see KB3167679 is applied to Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, please check if your Windows 2008 is SP2, if not, please rise it to SP2, then install the update:

    As per my investigation, KB3167679 was released on August month and replaced with new update which released on this month.
