Failure Trying to Synch Web Application - Event ID 5555 - Timeout expired RRS feed

  • Getting the following error in SharePoint server:

    Event ID 5555 from Source Office SharePoint Server on agent computer has triggered this Alert

    Description : Failure trying to synch web application , ContentDB

    Exception message was Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

  • Hi Swathi,

    Change the schedule for the "Timer Service Recycle" job to run during off peak hours, when a few timer jobs are running.

  • Thanks Rahul for the reply.

    The issue occurred in SharePoint 2007 server and I found that "Timer Service Recycle"  is not present in 2007.

    Please provide any alternate solution if available.
