Lotus Notes MA on FIM 2010 R2 - Failed to connect to names.nsf RRS feed

  • Posting this as hopefully it helps someone else who is stuck. When attempting to create the MA for Lotus Notes on FIM 2010 R2, I received the "Failed to connect to names.nsf" error message. I tried granting full control to the Notes program directory, some other suggestions on the forums, all to no avail. The end fix was that FIM 2010 R2 looks to an old registry key for the Notes path/data path values which don't exist if you've never had an older version of Notes on the server. I installed Notes 8.5.1, opened the client and made sure I could get to the server. You then need to create the values under...




    Once I created the 6.0 registry key and populated it with the String (and 1 D-WORD) values, the MA no longer gave the error.
