  • Hi,

    I have WSUS on windows 2012 R2 server with lots of windows clints connected.

    But now we also need to implement another WSUS for our another branches.

    Please guide us the best possible steps for te same.

    Also suggest should we select the "Express installation" ??

    You can connect WSUS servers in Autonomous mode (to achieve distributed administration) or in Replica mode (to achieve centralized administration). The process of establishing the Downstream WSUS server is basically the same as that of the general WSUS server. Please refer to the official article to build it step by step: "Plan your WSUS deployment".
      

    Also suggest should we select the "Express installation" ??

    Express installation files will limit the bandwidth consumed on the local network, but at the cost of bandwidth consumption on the Internet connection, as well as greater storage consumption. The following article specifically explains this feature: "Using Express Installation Files". Whether or not to enable this feature depends on your resource situation and needs.
