Project Server 2013upgrade workflow RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can we migrate/install Visual studio created Project Server 2010 workflow as it is in Project server 2013? We do not need them but it gives missing assembly error in 2013 and the web site does not open. Any suggestions how best to delete them from content database!

  • Unfortunately you can not move existing workflow as is. You need to republish them using  VS. If you don't not need them, before deleting the workflows remove association of these workflows with existing entities like EPT's and validate the behavior

I would strongly recommend to exercise this first in non production environment

  • Thanks a lot for your reply Hrishi. We are ugrading in a test environment first. The 2013  Project web app site does not open as it is finding reference to the workflow assemblies in content database. We have not istalled the 2010 solution in the 2013 environment. How best to delete the reference of the assembly from content database which is being upgraded?

Also would you recommend to install the solution in 2013 environment in 14 hive and then retracting the solution after ugrade, to avoid the error messages while upgrading?
