Duplicate Data Sources RRS feed

  • Question

  • Once you have imported data with Power Query directly into the model, you can create a new Power View report. If you examine the Power View window, you will observe that there are two entries for every data source - on for the query defined by Power View, and one for the table stored in the model (Power Pivot).

This behaviour is confusing. At worst, the different sources should be grouped by source type, but at best, if the data is in the model ,the query source should be hidden.

Is this by design? Are the any plans to change this behaviour?

    Cheers

  • Hi John,

Thanks for your feedback. This isn't the desired behavior but is a known issue with preview releases so far.
