Lync 2013 Mediation Server not listening on TCP Port 5068 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have installed a Lync Server 2013 Enterprise Edition. On the Front End Server collocated Mediation Server Role installed.

In the topology builder TLS Port 5067 and TCP Port 5068 defined. Also a PSTN GW and a Trunk is defined. Topology Publish without Errors.

    Mediation Service is running.

    Power Shell command Get-CsService -MediationServer

    Identity             : MediationServer:lync.xxxx.de
    Registrar            : Registrar:lync.xxxx.de
    EdgeServer           : EdgeServer:accessedge.xxxx.de
    SipServerPort        : 5070
    SipClientTcpPort     : 5068
    SipClientTlsPort     : 5067
    AudioPortStart       : 49152
    AudioPortCount       : 8348
    DependentServiceList : {PstnGateway:10.10.14.14}
    ServiceId            : 1-MediationServer-12
    SiteId               : Site:xxxx
    PoolFqdn             : lyncpool.xxxx.de
    Version              : 6
    Role                 : MediationServer

I get no Connection between PSTN GW and Mediation Server with TCP. On netstat -a I see NO listening on TCP Port 5068, Port 5067 is listen.

    Any ideas

Answers

  • Uninstall Front End Server and reinstall with Deployment Wizard.

Reinstall Central Management Store with Deployment Wizard.

Replication will work as expected and Mediation Server will listen on TCP Port 5068.

  • I would guess the topology is not published properly to the server.

  • Hi,

Had this a few times. Restart the server, re-run your netstat query and check for 5068 listening after reboot.

    Kind regards

  • Hello,

run on lync powershell " CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus" if all management stores are replicated ( uptodate  value should be true).

check the Lync server mediation service if its running, if its not available run your lync deployment wizard. and make sure the mediation service is available and running.

reboot the server and it should work.

    regards,
